Fantasy with Ludwig : an exploration of harmony and narrative through music

The  Morandini House Concert on Friday 29th November at 7:00pm, will feature virtuoso pianist Ludwig Treviranus on the theme of fantasy, in which Ludwig will explore  harmony and narrative through music.

Wellington-born Ludwig Treviranus is of Samoan/German heritage and is currently Assistant Piano Programme Coordinator and Coordinator for Music Language at Albany School of Music, Auckland.

He holds a Doctorate of Music from Florida State University where he studied under Dr Read Gainsford. In the USA, he was a finalist for the Beethoven International Piano Sonata  Competition in Memphis, Tennessee (2009) as well as the Florida State Music School Chopin Competition (2010). Before his studies in Florida, Ludwig held a scholarship as a Maori/Pacific Island scholar to complete his Master's degree at the University of Auckland under Dr Rae de Lisle.

If you came to the concert that Ludwig gave at my home 5 years ago, then you'll know that he's a superb communicator as well as a fantastic pianist. If you don't know Ludwig, then this short YouTube recording will give you an introduction or you might like to visit his website.
