As one gets older, every birthday becomes an event worth celebrating. My birthday is on 23rd June, and what better way to celebrate it than to have a concert performed by some of New Zealand's most talented chamber musicians followed by good food, fine wine and convivial company.
Well known to regular Morandini House Concert-goers, the New Zealand Chamber Soloists have been performing regularly throughout New Zealand and overseas since 2006. The core group is a piano trio that combines the talents of Katherine Austin (piano), Lara Hall (violin), and James Tennant (cello).
For the Schumann quartet, Katherine, Lara and James will be joined by Auckland-based violinist (and violin maker) Dimitri Atanassov.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Gregor
Time: 7pm, please come between 6.30 and 6.50pm Tickets: a Koha towards Dimitri's expenses - $20 if you can afford it. (Gregor is paying for all the food, wine and non-alcoholic drinks, to celebrate his birthday.) Bookings: Sorry - fully booked |
