It's almost 5 years since we had the pleasure of hearing the New Zealand Chamber Soloists perform at a Morandini House Concert. At the time we wrote

"The  Morandini House Concert on Friday 20th April 2012, at 6.30pm. features New Zealand's premier piano trio, the New Zealand Chamber Soloists. NZCS bring the luminescent colours, sights and sounds of Aotearoa to the world through the intimate experience of chamber music. Lara Hall, Katherine Austin, and James Tennant are passionate about revitalising classical music as a spontaneous experience and engage personally with each audience, transcending cultural barriers through the universal language of music."

Those words are as true today as they were then, except for this concert we are privileged to have guest violinist Amalia Hall in place of her sister Lara.

The three works being performed are :-

Ludwig van Beethoven          Piano Trio Opus 1, No. 3 in C minor.

Franz Schubert                    Nocturno in E-flat major, Opus 148 (D.897)

Antonin Dvorak                    Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor, Op.90, B.166
    .
