Buz Bryant-Greene

Nelson-born pianist Buz Bryant-Greene is a freelance musician currently based in Beijing, China.  A previous NZSM graduate and national competition winner, Buz spent most of his 20s in New Zealand, appearing regularly as a solo recitalist and chamber musician around the country, and occasionally abroad. 

In addition to independently organised concerts, Buz has appeared in events such as the Nelson Winter Music Festival, the St Andrew’s Season in Wellington, Chamber Music NZ’s Encompass Season, and been recorded live by Radio New Zealand.  His appearances with local orchestras have been warmly received.

In recent years Buz has  also commissioned new work from local composers with CreativeNZ funding, and presented several programmes of entirely NZ music.
